What is the S.E.R.V.E. Toolkit?
The S.E.R.V.E. Toolkit is a collection of resources, trainings, and protocols designed to “Serve Each Refugee and Volunteer Effectively.”
The Toolkit answers the majority of volunteer questions. Volunteers are encouraged to consult the Toolkit before consulting WRD staff, as it is a convenient and efficient way to find answers to questions. The toolkit is intended to be used by volunteers on an “as needed” basis. Volunteers find this resource most helpful when they treat it as a compilation of tools, reading one document as it applies to a specific situation, task or question throughout their partnership with a refugee. However, when the time comes that a protocol applies to your volunteer situation, please read the protocol in full.
The S.E.R.V.E. Toolkit has information on the following topics:
- Our Approach
- WRD Policies
- Tips for Volunteers
- Building Relationships with Refugees
- Refugee Information
- Resettlement Services
