To help you as you serve, here are some resources we have compiled (uploaded on Google Docs):
How To Resources: These documents provide guidance to volunteers as they assist refugees in adjusting to life in the United States. Each document provides specific instructions for various activities or tasks assigned to volunteers from World Relief Durham.
Self-Sufficiency Manual: this manual (zipped file) is still in process but contains curriculum to help refugees with five basic skills (financial literacy, employment, health needs, hygiene and home safety, and transportation).
Volunteer Orientation: Review the powerpoint slides from the volunteer orientation
Orientation Handout: Print and bring this to volunteer orientation to follow the presentation.
